Evin Seyhan is an accomplished architect and interior designer with a professional career spanning over two decades. She has considerable expertise in the design of residential and commercial interiors as well as lent her design talents to the design of furniture items, set backgrounds for numerous television shows and movie stages for film productions. Her ability to create designs across various physical landscapes provides her a unique viewpoint on the intricacies of interior architecture, which in turn allows her to continually design innovative spaces that have positive impacts on people and their lived environments.
Evin studied architecture at Mimar Sinan University, one of Turkey’s leading higher education institutions for the fine arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995 and went on to complete a Master’s in Architecture with a major in Building Science finishing in 1999.
After her graduate program, Evin went on to spend the next 18 years working as an Architect and Interior Design for the film production company Sarmaşık Sanatlar. She produced interior designs for film and televisions sets including Snow Falls in Through the Windows, Coming Home, and Bliss. As the lead designer on set, Evin was responsible for all aspects of the stage design including managing technical subordinates, procurement of products, and set coordination with producers and directors.
Evin was also involved in the design of interior spaces for numerous commercial and residential spaces. Through her design work, she developed a local reputation for designing interiors for the hospitality industry including cafes, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. As these spaces tend to be focal points in films and televisions, her design work naturally flowed back and forth between movie sets and real-life interiors.
