Evin Seyhan is an accomplished architect and interior designer with a professional career spanning over two decades. She has considerable expertise in the design of residential and commercial interiors as well as lent her design talents to the design of furniture items, set backgrounds for numerous television shows and movie stages for film productions. Her ability to create designs across various physical landscapes provides her a unique viewpoint on the intricacies of interior architecture, which in turn allows her to continually design innovative spaces that have positive impacts on people and their lived environments.

 

Evin studied architecture at Mimar Sinan University, one of Turkey’s leading higher education institutions for the fine arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995 and went on to complete a Master’s in Architecture with a major in Building Science finishing in 1999.

 

After her graduate program, Evin went on to spend the next 18 years working as an Architect and Interior Design for the film production company Sarmaşık Sanatlar. She produced interior designs for film and televisions sets including Snow Falls in Through the Windows, Coming Home, and Bliss. As the lead designer on set, Evin was responsible for all aspects of the stage design including managing technical subordinates, procurement of products, and set coordination with producers and directors.

 

Evin was also involved in the design of interior spaces for numerous commercial and residential spaces. Through her design work, she developed a local reputation for designing interiors for the hospitality industry including cafes, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. As these spaces tend to be focal points in films and televisions, her design work naturally flowed back and forth between movie sets and real-life interiors.

Evin’s design talents and skillset are widely recognized within Turkey’s wider architecture and design community. Since 2011 she has lectured at various architecture and building science institutions including Yildiz Technical University, Okan University, and Bilgi University. 

 

In June 2019 Evin has established “Evin Seyhan Design House Ltd.” in London. Currently, Evin works as an Architectural and Interior Designer in her London based company. With her exceptional experience in commercial and residential interior design concepts, she has closed more than ten projects in the UK. Evin’s expertise and competencies span all facets of interior design from initial conception through to execution. She is a capable project manager who can oversee all aspects of a design project from market research, initial prototypes and detailed material specifications, through to on-site constructions support and styling.

Founded by Architect Evin Seyhan, ‘Evin Seyhan Design House’ is a small interior design studio creating inviting interiors for commercial and residential properties in London, United Kingdom. The Company’s design service spans all facets of interior design from the design of new commercial properties through to the renovations of a small residential space.
